Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Jon Greenfield is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon who has been practicing in West Los Angeles/Beverly Hills for 38 years. Dr. Greenfield is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, the Arthroscopy Board of North America, and the American Academy of Pain Management. He holds surgical certifications in Intradiscal Therapy, CO2 Laser in Arthroscopic Surgery, Holmium YAG Laser in Arthroscopic Knee Surgery, Percutaneous Nucleotomy, Lipotherme Laser Liposuction, and the SVF Investigational Development System (Stem Cell Rejuvenation Therapy).
Dr. Greenfield is the Medical Director of the Miracle Mile Outpatient Surgery Center in Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Stem Cell Institute, a team physician for a local high school, and a Qualified Medical Evaluator for industrial injuries in the State of California. He is on the faculty of the University of Southern California Medical School, Physicians Assistant training program. Dr. Greenfield has published research and clinical practice articles in medical journals, and has lectured on various topics related to orthopedic medicine and surgery and the management of chronic intractable pain in the United States and Mexico. In addition Dr. Greenfield holds a MBA degree, is a Certified Public Accountant.
Elliot B. Lander, M.D.F.A.C.S. is a Board-Certified Surgeon. He was born in Los Angeles, California. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Occidental College with Distinction in Biochemistry. He attended medical school at the University of California, Irvine. For six years after medical school, Dr. Lander studied General Surgery and then Urologic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine. He was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Urology at the same institution while in practice at a large HMO in Orange County for five years. During that time he was active in teaching residents and doing research. He has many publications in the urologic literature.
Dr. Lander has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has served as Chief of Urology at Eisenhower Medical Center and Chief of Surgery at John F. Kennedy Hospital. Dr. Lander has been on staff at Eisenhower for fourteen years. He is also an Expert Reviewer for the California Medical Board. Dr. Lander is currently involved in cutting edge urologic stem cell treatment research and is a member of the International Cellular Medicine Society, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to patient safety and education regarding the medical use of adult stem cells. Dr. Lander specializes in Male Hormone Replacement and has developed special protocols to administer male hormones safely in men with a history of prostate cancer.
Howard Stanley Rubin, MP, PhD, ABMP, is a Board Certified Medical Psychologist. After completing his residency in 1971 at Cook County Hospital ,Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Rubin returned to Los Angeles and joined the faculty of the California School of Professional Psychology, where he conducted and supervised clinical research in addition to teaching and developing community based clinical training programs for doctoral psychology interns. After practicing for 30 years, Dr. Rubin matriculated at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey where he obtained certification in Clinical Psychopharmacology in 2002.
In 1982, Dr. Rubin co-founded the first integrated medicine practice in Los Angeles, the California Institute for Behavioral Medicine (CIBM). The CIBM developed programs and services in Behavioral Health, Sports Medicine and Psychology, Multidisciplinary Pain Management, Multidisciplinary Life Style Medicine, and the multidisciplinary treatment of substance abuse disorders.
In 1984 Dr. Rubin founded the Pain CareCenters of America where he worked with Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Jon Greenfield over the subsequent 14 years in developing comprehensive multidisciplinary hospital based and free standing pain centers. That same year Dr. Rubin was appointed to the Psychology Clinical Register of the United States Olympic Committee Medical Staff for the 1984 Games in Los Angeles, and has been involved in the evaluation, performance enhancement, and treatment of world class and professional athletes ever since. In the late 1990′s Dr. Rubin was appointed to the Medical Staff of the Los Angeles Clippers.
In 2000, Dr. Rubin along with Dr. Greenfield and several other surgeons formed the Museum Center Surgery Group DBA Miracle Mile Outpatient Surgery Center where they currently employ SVF investigational protocols and conduct research on arthritis, other disorders of the joints, and other degenerative medical maladies.
Dr. Alexander Rothis was born and raised in Detroit Michigan. After completing his undergraduate degree with honors in Biology at the University of Michigan, Alex matriculated at Wayne State University School of Medicine where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1991. Dr. Rothis completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program at Boston University in 1994, and an Anesthesiology Residency Program at UCLA in 1997, where he also began his pain management training.
Dr. Rothis is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Specialist. He has been practicing in the greater Los Angeles area for nearly 20 years. Dr. Rothis joined the medical staff of the Miracle Mile Outpatient Surgery Center in 2010, and has been providing anesthesia services for SVF Protocol patients since MMOSC began its Stem Cell rejuvenation investigational program in 2013.
